Mitchall Mines & Minerals Ltd. has begun a new chapter in its global expansion with targeted gold exploration programs in Zimbabwe and South Africa. These initiatives represent the company’s entry into one of the world’s most geologically endowed continents, renowned for its vast mineral wealth and long-standing mining history.

Our African exploration strategy is focused on high-potential greenstone belts, historical goldfields, and underexplored regions with strong upside potential. With a disciplined approach grounded in local partnership, regulatory compliance, and technical excellence, we are committed to responsible discovery and long-term value creation across the African continent.

Core Exploration Regions

Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe’s Archean Greenstone Belts have produced millions of ounces of gold historically, yet many remain underexplored by modern standards. Mitchall Mines has secured two large-scale exploration permits in the Midlands and Masvingo provinces.

South Africa

In South Africa, Mitchall Mines is conducting early reconnaissance and licensing reviews on projects at the margins of the Witwatersrand Basin and Bushveld Complex—two of the most prolific mineral regions globally.

Exploration Approach

Mitchall’s African exploration program is rooted in precision, community trust, and long-term perspective. Our model prioritizes:

  • Remote sensing and high-resolution magnetic and gravity surveys
  • Collaborative geological mapping with local academic institutions
  • Minimal-impact fieldwork aligned with environmental and social governance (ESG) principles
  • Transparent engagement with local authorities and traditional leaders

We are also developing local training and employment programs to support inclusive economic development in our areas of operation.

Progress and Outlook

2024: Completion of first-phase field assessments in Zimbabwe; airborne geophysical surveys to begin in Q4.

2025–2026: Targeting 10,000–15,000 meters of exploratory drilling across both Zimbabwean provinces.

Community Engagement: Preliminary social impact assessments and stakeholder consultation frameworks have been established in all areas.

Looking Ahead

With early exploration in motion, Mitchall Mines aims to establish a meaningful resource base in Africa over the next five years. Through a combination of technical innovation, community partnership, and regional insight, we are planting the seeds of long-term success in one of the world’s most promising mining frontiers.
